My main concern is whether the side gutters on which the racks are mounted, will hold the weight of the tent

....if the seats were a bit darker (brownish), I would go for it with no second thoughts. I ordered my Gobi with black leather, as I find the tan leather or cloth too light to combine with Gobi (always personal preference).

Correct .... order was placed two months ago, as mentioned. Long wait though, as production will only start mid-year.
