RF hub 68449322AB Location

Does anyone happen to know where the RF hub for RKE is located? Dealership said mine is out and is charging $800 to replace this.

I understand the 1 hour for programming but that leaves $600 for the part and to replace.

Found the part from the Mopar factory new for $130 so that leaves $470 in labor which is insane to me.

I’ve heard conflicting locations so any help would be great.

Is that the deal for the TPMS sensors? If so I think that's on a crossmember in the rear, sort of above the axle. Follow the parking brake lines up, it runs right next to it.

Hello. Unfortunately it’s not for TPMS, it’s the radio frequency hub for the key. I’m having a hard time locating it.

That module should be behind the dashboard, in the area where OBD is, behind the steering wheel.

Is it hard to get to? I’ll be going to the dealership to grab some things out the back I left and I would rather just switch this unit out myself rather than paying $600 to the dealership.

Hello, I couldn't tell you, if you go to the workshop ask them, they should tell you where exactly. It's night here now, tomorrow I'll try to look in my JL to see if I can find it. In my Ford that box was between the steering wheel and the radio, in Jeep it must be similar

You are correct. It is on the drivers rear, just ahead of the fuel filler location. Verified by Service library. Hope this helps.

Thank you very much Eric, I found it at a local dealership for $130 and it’s just 2 10mm bolts so I’m going to save roughly $650 to fix it

Did you have to have any programming done after making the swap?

It looks like you have to have the key fobs inside the car but I didn't see any other programming requirements from what I read.

Relevant topic and questions regarding the replacement of the Radio Frequency Hub due to the Anti-Theft update being available.

So, if the RFH is replaced, is there a dealer-required programming that must be performed?
