Replace the cigarette lighter with a switch?

Just like the title says. Anybody done it?

I need just one switch for the daughters JLW. Instead of a switch panel with a bunch of switches that will never be needed I was thinking of removing the cigarette lighter and replacing it with a switch. Anybody done anything like this? How did you mount a single switch? I was just going to drill a hole in the panel under the steering wheel, but open to other ideas.

Well, you could remove that receptacle and place your switch (that has a similar foot print) there.

For how to get that receptacle out of there, definitely do read here...

The Mopar Brake Controller dial replaces the 12V plug, different than what you are looking for but it was an easy install.
