Can someone explain what the Owner's manual means by "When temperatures are above 80° F (26.7° C), the driver vented seat will turn on”. How does the vented seats work?

?? WHAAAAT I did not know they had vented seats. I don't believe they do. Maybe this is pre written for a future release or it was not caught by the people that review the final output of the manual. I am sure they copy a lot of text from other vehicles manuals as they are the same and this may have been missed and should have been removed is my guess.

I 'm not sure if they do have vented seats. That's why I'm hoping someone can shed some light on what it is and how to tell if you have them.

I asked TFL Car about this and provided the Owner Manual page numbers, and they said the JL does not have vented seats.

I am not surprised. This would require perforated seats. I believe the reason you don't find electric adjustable seats is due to the fact that this vehicle is purpose built for off road and getting WET. They already have to do a lot to water proofing to other electrical components. Imagine if they had to do this for seats as well? Not only electric adjustable, but also perforated seats for cooling.

Could this be a feature in the future? Maybe, but I doubt it.

So they marketed (or, provided documentation at a minimum stating so) that JL's have ventilated seats but they don't?

Shocking, lol. Doubt we'll see vented seats in the JL.

Yes, it has them - the directions and controls are in the Offroad Pages on the 8.4 display - they're only offered on the 2-door, diesel, SelecTrac Rubicon in Nacho with brown premium cloth, though, and unfortunately, that model's been delayed due to supplier issues with the unicorn-leather lockout button for the ESS disable feature. Late availability for 2019 is what I'm hearing.

This would be the only other feature I really wanted. I need some air con on my tush on the hot summer days with no top and doors. I don't need power seats...just air con

I bought the Jeep just for this feature so I can show my dogs.

Anyone know how to start a Class Action Lawsuit? They just can’t put that in there and not give it to us...
