If you do a remote start you should be able to shut it off by pushing the 2x button on the fob once.

I would remote start mine at work and if I had a late relief it would shut off but that is one reason.

As a volunteer job I use a three-row golf cart to transport patients/visitors to various locations around the Mayo Clinic campus. Yesterday, my passenger was a car guy, and wanted to hear my Hemi. We pulled up alongside the Jeep, I started it up, listened for a moment, and then I had to get off the cart and reach in to push the start/stop button. I figured that there had to be a better way.

Mine shuts off after 10 minutes, I have never had a reason to stop it..But it appears that if you hold the start button for 3 seconds, it is supposed to shut off. I have to go test this..

Also, you can use the Jeep app to lock, unlock, remote start, cancel remote start, beep horn - provided you sign up for the service. Manual transmission models do not have the remote start, cancel remote start feature, obviously.
