Something that sounds technical, but it's not.
Man I like these. I'd leave the ring as is. Once it get's scuffed up a little (hopefully not, but it may) then I'd go for black because it'll be easier to touch up in the future. Just my $.02 on it. Look forward to seeing it all put together!

These just came in today. They called me yesterday to say they finally got them in.
I started liking my temporary wheels, so I almost told them to cancel the order. I'm happy I didn't because the color on these is so nice in person! :camera:
I'm even debating if I should leave the rings red or have them coated black like I originally planned.

Oh man those are sweet. It’s killing me not to do the same damn wheels Chris.

Exactly my plan!

I believe the beadlock variant retails for $415 a piece.

Just do it!

Here are a few pictures on the Jeep. I get compliments on them all the time.

Yours or true bead locks I assume. Are they street legal here in Texas or do you even worry about it?

Mine are true beadlocks. I have run beadlocks on every Jeep I have owed since 2012 and never had an issue with the law. I've even had one officer tell me he loved me wheels. There are a few DOT Legal beadlocks, but these are not one of them.
I don't worry about it as most people don't even know what beadlocks are.

I do torque all 120 bolts twice a month or more, but I've noticed that after the tires/rings have completely settled in they rarely require more torque. The first 3-4 times there always seems to be a couple bolts that requires 2-3ft/lbs more of torque, but after that I just do it to be safe.

While I loved the all red, my last offroad trip has made me decide that when I have some free time I will be cleaning up some of the rash on the rings and coating/painting them black. I considered purchasing a second set of rings to "swap" out after every trip to keep my powdercoater/painter busy, but when I called Fuel and found out the rings alone were close to $200 a piece(Raw aluminum) I decided to can that idea :piggybank:. It would be so much easier to touch up the black myself.

The deep rash on the red doesn't look all that bad, but on the parts where it just rubbed against a mud wall and didn't fully take off the coating they almost look pink...

Thanks! It was painful going through some of the creek-beds/rock climbs we did on our last offroad trip knowing damn well all my rings would be rashed. At least the next time it won't be nearly as painful. I'm still a little annoyed that just the replacement rings(not even in the right color) cost more than my wife's non beadlock wheels. From now on when I'm shopping beadlocks, ring replacement cost will be part of my final decision.

I finally got mine in. After 2 months of waiting. I was hoping to be the first one with them but that isn't going to happen. Hopefully they don't sell to many of these. lol
I'm going to dip the the screw black so I can get some kind of one off. lol
