Didnt know there was one in October.
Hopefully not the same week šŸ˜‚

I had plans to go to Hawaii with my sister in October. We were going to go in 2020 to celebrate a milestone birthday but that fell through.

But I changed jobs recently and don't have enough vacation time accrued now for either trip.

I did Redcone in an unlifted Willys Sport and went down with 2.72:1 transfer case and 3.45:1 diff gears.....you'll be fine. I just went down in 1st gear 4 lo. (manual)
The "when" is very important. Just an observation. The gatekeeper and the rutted out bit have only gotten harder over time. Looking at pictures and videos 2013 vs 2025. It's a totally different trail now vs even 2-3 years ago.

Oh sorry. 2023. Like July or or August maybe?

That said, sure maybe it got harder in 2 years, but still. Stock baby Willys sport vs Rubicon.

My statement stands.

OK, I am going to try to make it out for the Sunday run. +1 for @grimmjeeper as leader. GMRS is mounted and will have handhelds as well. @Krondor can probably be talked into going as well.

Gotta test my new (to me) axles and t-case before Moab.

I see one of two possibilities.

1. He meets all of us and immediately scared off, maybe even giving up Jeeping altogether.

2. He's got the same kinds of personality disorders as the rest of us and he fits in perfectly.

Anyone opposed to meeting at the Shaggy Sheep parking lot between 9 and 10am? Open to other suggestions. Trying to make sure we have room for everyone 😁 Make sure you gas up beforehand.
