I'm often occupied, by many things, often at the same time
As stated, it's already available.

It's not available for your model year yet. They are rolling it out basically starting with oldest JLs first, so 18s and 19s (they did 23s first but that was because there was a stop sale on them and they were sitting on lots).

It's almost like we have a bunch of threads on this already.

There is a giant thread on 19A ...

https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/fo...s-and-gladiators.109588/page-207#post-2728945

Officially, Jeep was doing "a year at a time". They did the 2023s first to get them off the lots, then went back to 2018 and worked their way forward with one year every 4-6 months. 2021 was, I think, originally scheduled for Sept 2024.

We have a 2020, that was scheduled for June but we did a random check at our dealer back in April and our VIN showed up as having a fix available. We got lucky perhaps ? Not only was the fix available but the dealer didnt' have one scheduled so they ordered the parts and we had it done that same week ... Apparently dealerships can only order one new clutch for 19A per week.

New clutch installed, software updated, miraculously no issues with the bigger tires (37s) and 5.13 gearing....

If you are not having problems, I would not bring it in. This recall is causing problems for a lot of folks. Drive your Jeep and enjoy it.

If you only knew they're doing you a favor. Seriously you don't want their fix even if you don't know it yet.

I have a Jan 2021 build. In Apr I scheduled an oil change and mentioned to the scheduler I’d like the clutch update as well. I did the oil change in early Apr and the clutch update in early May. When I showed up for the clutch update, the service writer looked at me like why are you here. He wasn‘t aware early ‘21s we’re eligible yet.

As a side note I bought the car in DC and live in WNY. This service department at this dealership has taken great care of me. This conglomerate also bought the Infiniti dealership where I have my other cars serviced. They were great until about 6 months ago when a new service manager and service writers came in. They are the worst. I’d never buy another Infiniti because they are the only game in town.

Just to contrast some of the horror stories on here, I got the recall done on my 23 JLUR a couple of months back, and have been very happy with it. It seems as if they tuned the gas pedal response a little in addition to the clutch replacement and software update so that 1st and 2nd gear are a little smoother. I have not experienced any of the limp mode or other problems that others seem to be complaining about. However, I still have stock tires/gearing/suspension, for what it's worth.

I have a '21. No notice yet as you would expect with the multi-year roll out period.

I really didn't want to mess with Jeep's "solution" so proceeded to have Centerforce II clutch installed last year. No regrets. Centerforce clutch is absolutely awesome. Pricey though.

Per others, ACT seems to be excellent option as well (and the owner was on here explaining all the ins and out of it which was SO appreciated).

2018 Sport S at 105,000 miles.

I've got about 2 weeks & 500 miles on my new 19A recall clutch. So far so good. There's improved feel and it does seem that the throttle response is improved slightly.

I was starting to see some tiny amount of slippage and getting an unpleasant sound every 1 of 5 times that I donwshifted from 4th to 3rd on the original clutch.

I would've waited if I wasn't having any problems.
