Recall 19A…. Crickets

Has anybody heard of any movement on this? Driving my family around a vehicle with a safety recall that disallows a dealer from selling my vehicle is disheartening. I contacted Jeep Cares twice, both times told they’d get back to me (and didn’t).

I’m interested in finding folks looking to start a class action at this point. Either fix my new Jeep clutch or provide credit towards a new automatic because this is ridiculous.

2023s that were in production have been delivered with whatever the fix is. So, hopefully everyone (myself included) gets their manuals and new clutches in the near future.

I’m fixing to cancel my manual order because there has been no update on when production will begin. I wish I could call and ask that my Jeep is delivered without the clutch.. lol I’ll throw an aftermarket clutch in when I get it.

Was gonna say whats above but worth mentioning. No word still. Was supposed to be Q2 but here we are. As stated though, some 23’s have already been delivered with no open recall, so some form of a fix is clearly present

Just want to run an update, as of checking on 7/18, the current ETA for the recall release is 9/5/23. This has been recently updated at some point after release 23 MYs for delivery. So theres everyones current update.

Just a guess, but Standard Operating Procedure? They have 70,000-ish clutches they need to replace; makes sense they will have some way of rolling it out to make sure new cars sell and dealers aren't overrun with recall requests. If they didn't do a phased rollout, I am sure people would be screaming, "My deathmobile clutch finally has a fix, and Jeep told me they're booked out for 3 months! Unacceptable!"

Oh I totally get that. I'm just a bit confused why the info in internally already decided on but not shared with the public until a random (But very helpful) Jeep Cares account page states it on a forum

FCA US will notify dealers and begin notifying owners, in phases, starting with the 2023 model year vehicles on or about 11/30/2023, 12/19/2023 for 2018 model year vehicles, 04/18/2024 for 2019 model year vehicles, 06/04/2024 for 2020 model year vehicles, 07/02/2024 for 2021 model year vehicles, and 08/01/2024 for 2022 model year vehicles. Please be aware these dates are subject to changes, these are estimates, not final dates.
