Mine too, noticed at about 200 miles. Seems to be a design flaw...

Now if they only gave us the option to permanatly turn off ESS (i do know of the creative ways to defeat it). I'm betting it would be the most hated feature, if JeepCares took a survey...

Anyone have a consensus on a repair for this via the dealership? Mine also does this apparently. Never did on my 2018 Trailhawk, so it seems they need to switch nozzle tips out for something that actually seals.

Mine finally quit dripping, I disconnected the quick connect line inside and blew the line dry and then reconnected it, don’t plan on using it and hopefully they have a fix.

I feel you. I may take a swing by my dealer tomorrow to inquire about it. I don't even know if the streak aesthetically bothers me but it definitely requires a fix.

Mine dripped when I first got it and then quit. I was under the hood today and noticed the cap was loose on the reservoir. Maybe it is building pressure and the hole trick will work. I'm leaving the cap loose for now.

Quick question, how many of you are frequently opening/closing the tailgate portion only? I noticed this morning upon shutting the tailgate, the glass panel moves inward to seal and in turn flexes the windshield fluid line. I'm guessing that flex in the tube is causing pressure therefore fluid leaks out a bit.

As with the rest of you, mine keeps stopping and starting to drip all the time. Today got a low washer fluid light which I thought was weird as I've had the Jeep for a few months and have not used it enough to get so low.

Checking under the hood I also found that my cap was pretty much completely off and the reservoir fairly empty.

I got to say this is more than just dripping but seems like high heat is causing a lot of pressure build up and who knows what's next.

I'm really thinking of plugging it up also but then wonder if the pressure will do more than blow the cap off?

Well, I took delivery of my 2dr. JL on 5/15. I noticed on pickup day that washer fluid had dripped and dried on the rear window. I went right home and drilled a hole in the washer fluid reservoir cap.

Anyway, I have seen no more drips since 5/15. I have checked the windshield fluid reservoir cap every few days and twice now I have noticed in was not closed/popped open. Regardless, coincidence or not, no more drips on JL's rear window.

I also found my cap to be off as well. Problem is, the little nubs that are supposed to retain the cap on the tank don't do anything. They can't make it past the lip of the tank because of how thick that cap seal is on the inside. The lid didn't pop off due to excess heat, it popped off because it just has no grab on anything. I wonder if my dealer can give me a cap for a Grand Cherokee or something to see if that works better.

Update...

My coworker whom rides in a 2017 Willy's has the same exact windshield washer reservoir cap. On the inside of his cap, he also has the black neoprene(?) seal just the same as all the new JLs. His cap was snug and difficult to pop off. The only difference? His seal would compress more and had indentations from the rim of the reservoir tank, therefore it fully snapped on just fine. After trying to press fit my cap, it was apparent the thing would never fully snap on. I said screw it and removed the black seal, the cap now feels like it would require more force then before to remove. I also drilled a small hole as others have mentioned. We will see how it works.

Additionally, after dropping by my dealership today, every single JL had some varying degree of the rear windshield washer sprayer dripping/streaking. After further exam I believe the sprayer head is a two piece part. The plastic nozzle sits inside a rubber piece. If you look closely the washer fluid actually comes from the thin gap between the plastic nozzle and rubber seal. The service guy believes something is cracked inside, I doubt that is the case. I personally think it is a horrible design. On the flip side I will try to apply a thin amount of clear silicone caulk to see if that stops the streaking.

So I actively caught the rear sprayer leak this morning for the first time. About 1100hrs, temperature outside at about 80+ and climbing. No leak and clean glass panel the night before and upon driving to work. I was parked for about four hours at this point. There was an ever so small drop working itself out from between where the plastic nozzle portion sits inside the rubber shroud piece. This comes after modifying my washer cap. Seen in the picture is the sprayer nozzle but not at the time of the leak, just using it as a reference.

Edit: it is of my opinion this is a design flaw and the leak will always continue as things expand under increased temperature. I believe the only fix would be to seal the two pieces together. @JeepCares
