Rear Track Bar Mount Completely Sheared from Frame

How do I find out my build date? 35k on the odo. I took delivery of the jeep 6/18 and ordered in 1/18. They are saying their body shop will repair not the dealership but I'm still light on details. I'll be calling Jeep cares tonight, and already sent them a PM on here. I talked about a buy back but they basically said that is between me and FCA.

Maybe contrary to most of the comments mentioned above, I'd have more faith in a competent shop's ability to repair the frame over a tech's ability to replace a frame - something few have actually done. There's a lot more to go wrong in a frame swap than simply welding - and probably reinforcing - the frame bracket. Perhaps Jeep can supply a new frame bracket for the repair.

The Build date is on a label on the drivers door, outer edge, it might give a clue as to the batch of frames that are poorly welded

I'll try and grab that the next time I see my jeep again.

As an update, my dealership has said they are flying in a guy from FCA to do the welding, similar to the UA5 recall, from what I've read. They mentioned that is all this guy does, fly around and fix their broken welds. Wouldn't need to do that if they just did a better job with QC in the first place. This is my first jeep, I love it, but this is major issue and I have a 6 week overland trip planned this summer with my wife and soon to be 3 y/o pulling an Escapod teardrop, first time I'd get to do some more serious off road trails. I'm hoping FCA will work with me to make this right. Just don't know if I can trust it anymore.

I would insist that the FCA guy verify and re-weld every bracket on your frame.

Would really suck to get “out there” on your upcoming trip and have the other side fail too....

Done. Even though they fixed the issue and took care of me, this is a major issue and could have ended badly.

Every "Quality Control "person that missed this, from beginning to final assembly, should be fired.
