Rear steel bumper install help.

Getting ready to install my steel OEM rear bumper. 2nd Hand purchase. I have OEM hitch installed. Does the steel bumper get secured in the center to the frame by the hitch? If so, I must be missing a bracket or something. Would appreciate if someone could post a picture of how the steel bumper center contacts the frame, is it somehow bolted to the hitch mount? any insight is appreciated.

My bumper does not attach to the hitch, its separate.

I have seen bumpers with an integrated hitch. I guess its possible but I have not seen a hitch that only attaches to the bumper. A separate hitch usually mounts to the frame.

I included a picture of mine without the hitch. I later added a hitch that mounted directly to the frame. I was able to mount it without removing the bumper.

I’m wondering if the bumper attaches to the Jeep in the hitch area,. My plastic one did not. When I watched an install video of the steel bumper without a hitch , they used a bracket to mount the bumper to the frame where the hitch should go. The Mopar instructions I found on line were not very clear on how to mount the bumper with a hitch. So I’m hoping someone here has seen it. I do appreciate the response, and I really like your aftermarket one!
