Good morning, I bought this kit from Amazon because I need to reinstall my rear fender. Looked like it had everything I needed. But the black clips that attach the fender back to the body are wrong. Very hard to fit back on the fender. I could file where they slide in but I think it's just easier to get the correct clips. Also they were very hard plastic. The OEM ones were softer / more pliable.
Also the push pin tool in this kit doesn't work well. You have to take the trip off, pull the pin, then reassemble. Buy a different kit.
Has anyone purchase the correct white clips on Amazon? And are they supposed to have a flat rubber washer?
Thanks for any help.
Edit:
I found clips off the rack at Autozone and O'Reilly. Autozone had OEM they could order but the were $12 each. Both of the parts below you need to trim the little tabs on the wings.
Autozone: Hillman 484379
O'Reilly: Dorman 963-207D

I could only find the correct ones at the dealership. I think they were about 12 bucks for 8 of them.

I bought the same type you did and had the same problem with them. These are the ones I bought that I used and they worked just fine.

Thanks. I was going to ask if anyone has tried them. Glad to know they worked. I found clips off the rack at both O'Reilley and Autozone that look like they will work. Will try them in the morning and if so I will like the part numbers.

Every time I order from an OEM source I add in 10-15. I just keep piling them up for when I may need them. Also I bring them on the trail in case I rip one off.

do you know the Jeep part number?
I do not. I switched over to some gray Amazon ones when I did my fender chop so the wouldn't show so much. The ones I used were too tight to fit without a bit of trimming but at that point, a little trimming didn't matter.
