Yeah, that lil mall crawlin girlie ain't gonna get her $100 pre-torn jeans dirty with any trip to some place with no indoor plumbing. I just can't picture that.

With the occasional off-roading I've done with my big ass pickup, to hunt, I've found the headlights, some Morimoto LED fogs, a couple wide beam BD S2 Pro, and a couple spot BD S2 Pro lights will light the way tremendously. That all comes to about 17,000 lumens. Very modest by some observations of other setups I've seen. My truck setup was partly to light the roadway and ditches (for deer about to run in front of me) of midwest 2 laners. I think it's about beam quality and selection of the type of beam for what you're trying to accomplish. Im not really a fan of the big light bars, because they have limited flexibility to aim.

For my Jeep, I have two goals. First, I want to augment the headlights for high speed vision (and deer avoidance) on lonely highways . That will be done with some spot beams and wide beams from a couple BD Squadron Pro combo lights @ ~10,000 lumens mounted mid level in my bumper. Second, I want some low speed lighting to the sides to see in sharp turning for tire placement/obstacle avoidance. That will partially be done with some spare Rigid SAE pods @ 1500 lumens each, I happen to have laying around, mounted on the bull bar, pointed outward. I'm wondering if I need some lights mounted on the cowl/pillar or further aft to see out the side.

Because obviously all that light bar bonanza is not for the trails, duh, it's for bragging in front of your friends in Starbucks parking lot.

Is there a Jeep with a light bar in that picture somewhere?? I don't see one but I might be distracted...
