I have had a ProRock44 on order from Dynatrac since mid-March and caught up with them yesterday. They told me that the hold up is with the RCV axle shafts and that they have customers who ordered in February and still haven’t received them yet for their build. They couldn’t give me an ETA, but by the sounds of it 4-5 months is realistic.

The Jeep is my daily driver and is basically grounded right now. My front axle took a hit on a pothole and the rear tire to front drivers tire is 5/8” shorter than the distance on the passenger side, so I am just wearing out my tires slowly. I can’t/don’t want to wait until July to just get the axle shafts and then the whole housing back under the Jeep. My fiancé will kill me if I keep having to borrow her car, plus that means I miss 50% of the offroad season in NH.

I have asked Dynatrac to give me an updated estimate on how fast they can put in their own chromoly shafts instead of the RCVs. The RCVs through Dynatrac are a great deal, so I am disappointed about the lost opportunity. Should I really just wait it out? Is anyone aware of some secret stash of RCV front axle shafts that I can just order from on my own? I will be running 37” K02s.

Just have them put in their chromoly's and ship you the RCV's when they come in. I just waited 211 days for my axle set from Dynatrac. Nothing to do with them, of course.

Don't get wrapped up in needing the RCV's. The majority of us that buy them don't really need them. It's just the warm fuzzy they provide that makes them so attractive. You'd be perfectly fine with Dynatrac's chromoly shafts for a few months.

Good to know. That is the direction I was thinking of going. Appreciate the feedback. What do you think I would get if I sold the dynatrac shafts when I swapped them out?

I'm not sure. I would expect 75-80% of new price.
