Currently own an awesome, oldschool TJ with manual everything and bikini top. So, it's always open and always gets rained in.
Now, considering a JL with power windows.
Q: do I have to be concerned about rain while leaving power windows open? What about raining directly inside and on dash/console/radio/etc?

The interior is weather resistant, so all of the electronic components in the interior will be okay if they get rained on. That being said, I don't think they're impervious and a heavy enough rain/flood might affect how things operate so I wouldn't leave them exposed for too long.

The days of the Jeep being like a dune buggy are pretty much over. It’s far more water resistant than anything else sold these days but I doubt it’s going to hold up to the abuse the CJs -TJs did, especially as it ages. It’s more like a real car now.
