Wife just called

Just had a issue come up. Turned off the Jeep JLU and the radio will not power off it says "Cannot power off during call" She is not on a call and there are no phones connected via bluetooth or Via Cable. She deleted all profiles for phones in settings and still has the same message. She tried a hard system reset both ways via steering wheel holding down green and voice buttons for 30 seconds open close door and also trying the hot and cold thermostat "engineering mode" When in engineering mode It does not show "system reset" as a option on the screen and cannot scroll to see other options. there are no arrows to scroll with on far right.

Radio has been on for over a hour after exiting the vehicle. Any suggestions?

John what was the outcome? I’m having the same problem along with the dash where the MPH display is.

My 2022 has also started having this issue, with under 10k miles. Is there a known fix? Trying to find dealers in my area that don't just leave you without a vehicle for a week for even the most minor warranty work is extremely difficult, so any fix that doesn't require a dealer visit would be awesome.

My new 2022 JLU is having the same issue. While driving, the radio and CarPlay just cut out. I pulled over to figure out what the deal was and turned the car on and off a few times. That’s when I discovered the radio wouldn’t cut off. Called jeep and they said they are going to replace the radio first and foremost. I’ll keep y’all posted if it works

My 2021 has this issue and I would be VERY interested to see if anyone has actually had Jeep resolve it. My Jeep has been with my local dealership since Tuesday (it is now Friday) with no resolution. I sent a DM to @JeepCares (no reply or answer since Wednesday). My Airplay will not stay on longer than 3-4 minutes without dropping - shared a video with the dealership. My stereo does not shutoff (another video) and it happened at the airport so I had to leave it with the expectation of a dead battery after I came back from my trip. This is the worst customer service I have experienced from any brand/dealership. If they cannot fix a radio in four days, I am concerned about how long it would take them to fix anything more technical.

My 22 is having this issue now. Have to pull fuse 97 to reset. Get it together Jeep, you’ve had a long time to work this shit out.

Update from Jeep as of Friday. I was informed that my radio was not compatible with an iPhone 13! It took them 4 days to tell me this. When you look online everything states iPhone 5 or higher and "ask your dealer". Went to a salesman at the same dealership who told me "Oh, yeah. 100% it will work with an iPhone 13". BTW, still not response from @JeepCares - makes you wonder if they do!

My wife’s 2021 Wrangler radio would not turn off after the vehicle engine was turned off and door opened. Stated ā€œCannot power off during call" when trying to power off. She was no longer on the call (iPhone), but was on a call when exiting the vehicle. Radio would not let me ā€˜disconnect’ phone through settings either. Radio was playing and you could change the stations.

We cycled through turning Jeep back on, driving it, back off. Radio still would not power off.

What she did was plug in her phone to the Jeep via USB port, unplugged her phone, and the radio operated as normal again and shut off.

Unsure if this was coincidental luck, but something to try.

I love this place. This fixed my issue. I had to go back in and make a phone call and end it and my screen shut right off.

This just happened to me. Quick search on the forum and found your post. Plugging it into the usb worked! Thanks

This just happened. Radio will not shut off in 21 Sahara. I too thought reset by pulling fuse. Heck it would not even shut down the radio without fuse. I then figured easier to disco the battery. Nope stupid aux battery kept it on.
this post solved ā€œfor nowā€ the issue. I started Jeep made a call after it connected and hung up. Radio turned off with the off knob and also when door opened. Hopefully just a glitch. I did ask wife if she was on phone when she backed into the garage. She said no. I hope it was just a gremlin as the warranty ran out about 2 weeks ago.
