@MeatRack I’m definitely interested! Can you send me more details?
Also my jeep isn’t really built up, still on factory 33s, no chains either, but I do have skids and gmrs. Hopefully that’s good enough for what you have in mind?
Hey everyone, I just moved up here from CO, so that I'd join the group and say hi. I've had my Rubicon since 2022, did a fair number of trails out in the Rockies and looking forward to hitting the dirt out here.
Here’s what I did. Started with a cool tech mount, which is pretty great. It only came with the stick on mic holder that comes from midland though.
That holder fell off of cooltech’s bracket in the summer heat so I needed an alternative.
I also had an issue where I couldn’t see the...
I also use the cool tech mount and it’s pretty great.
That being said, it had my mic touching the tune dial and at an angle where I couldn’t see the screen.
I ended up designing a mic holder that angles it towards me and moves the mic outboard and printing it out of cf polycarb. Works...
My 2022 has also started having this issue, with under 10k miles. Is there a known fix? Trying to find dealers in my area that don't just leave you without a vehicle for a week for even the most minor warranty work is extremely difficult, so any fix that doesn't require a dealer visit would be...
Thanks! It's not too far at all, so I can give them a call. Funny enough, the dealer I had the issue with tried to tell me that Castle Rock Jeep would do the same thing (not that I trust anything that dealer says).
I just ran into this, tried to get a couple minor things just looked at under warranty (usb/radio glitches and the service fuel system message).
Made the appointment 3 weeks in advance, they held my Jeep for 3 days with no one even looking at it, at the end of it I had to take it back because I...
I’m out in CO, so our valleys range from desert to heavily forested depending on which particular valley.
It is definitely sounding like that extra power is going to be pretty limited use for a Jeep application though, so I’m leaning towards saving some money and going with the 15w.
I do like more power, the extra price tag on the other hand….
Not all of my requirements are trail riding, but there’s also coordinating with people out in the boonies (like helping other vehicles find the camp site). That being said, even those would have us all in the same valley, so I’m not...
I’m looking into getting a GMRS setup, but am debating 15w vs 50w output.
I’m looking at Midland’s MXT275 and MXT575, I like the clean install possibilities, but am wondering is the extra output on the 575 is really worth the extra price for a trail rig.
Has anyone seen a major real world...
I picked up my Rubicon over the weekend. Absolutely fantastic service and transparency from Granger. The entire experience was hassle free, and they gave me an amazing deal on my Jeep. I highly recommend Granger for anyone looking to buy a vehicle.
I’m waiting for my jeep to be delivered through you guys any day now.
So far it’s been a great and painless car buying experience, and I’m looking forward to picking up my jeep here shortly 🤙
