Radio Unlock Code - No Luck...

I'm getting ready to sell my Wrangler JL and I upgraded the 5" radio to the 7" radio with CarPlay.
Now that I am selling, I wanted to try to recover some of the cost of the radio upgrade by reselling to another user.

The problem is I have had no luck with getting a radio unlock code. I purchased the radio new, so it has only been in my vehicle and associated with my VIN#.
I have called at least 5 local dealerships and none are willing to provide an unlock code -- most of them stating "theft" as their primary reason.

Anyone have any luck or have a contact that could help out? Willing to sell the 7" radio and trim piece for a nice discount.

LOL funny thing is I just hung up with the Dealer about obtaining my unlock code. They say they have to hook up the scanner to it and contact uConnect to obtain the code.

Hmmm, take the radio and the receipt in to the dealer in person. I can see why they would be suspicious of a random phone call asking for an unlock code.

There are some services on the internet that say they can get you a code.

Say you need to have a copy of your registration to match to your VIN and they would pull my code for me.

? they can look it up with just the numbers off the radio. I have bought two radios and that is how the code was obtained.

Do you mind sharing which dealer you called? Might as well give it a try. I have my VIN, Part #, and Serial # that I can provide.

@thewolfman2010 Brother they are they greatest dealership I have ever worked with. I have traveled up and down the east coast here the last 2 years and I can tell you some horror stories but it seems like those guys there restore my trust in Dealerships every time I go there. I had talked to RC before you called. LoL I will get them pizzas again.
