This is just a caution for others, and my experience to share. Around 100k, I was driving down the Rocky mountains, and my engine started to overheat. Turns out the lower right of the radiator just failed, and was leaking alot of coolant. Double checked to see if it could be pebbles or rocks from offroading, but no indications of that. To be fair, I was constantly driving up and down the mountains in one day. From Montana to Wyoming, to Colorado rocky mountains. I'm pretty sure the constant altitude levels affected how the cooling system was functioning.

Anyways, this is just a precaution. If you plan to climb mountains or drive down more than one time in a day, maybe let your cooling system rest.

So sorry this happened to you and thanks for sharing. However, I think your experience is testament to the JL's terrible design and quality. I've driven all manner of Jeeps for decades, including MB, M38, CJ-3B, CJ-5, and TJ, and none of them would have required a resting period. They just ran without much complaint, which is why the JL will be the last Stellantis product I ever buy, and I'd be happy to trade it in for one of its predecessors (excluding the JK and YJ, that is!).

I hope you were able to replace the radiator in short order and are back on the road. Really appreciate the heads-up and happy Jeepin'!
