I had a 2015 Ram 1500 Ecodiesel and loved it with zero problems. I routinely got 27+ mpg in it for 33,000 miles and then traded it for a 2016 JKU. Just didn’t need a truck anymore and always liked driving a wrangler.

So....for me the diesel was a no brainer due to the tourque, mileage and range. I don’t have to look at the economics of the diesel vs the other gas options so I don’t consider that stuff. I just like driving a Diesel engine vehicle and always wanted a wrangler with a diesel.

I currently have a 2019 rubicon with the 2.0. I’m so looking forward to moving onto the diesel...
Same here. Bought an EcoDiesel in 14. I think I like that vehicle more than any others ever owned. Been waiting for this drivetrain in a Wrangler ever since. Am hoping the epa stuff doesn’t prevent pleasant operation. Ordered one this morning.

The ONLY issue I've had with my 2014 RAM EcoDiesel was after they did the update. The throttle response when cold is a problem. RAM says it's normal - it's not. But even that goes away once the truck warms up.

To me, what this means is that anything going in the new Wranglers is going to already be well sorted out, since this setup has existed in the newest RAMs for a bit now. So I expect all Wrangler diesels to be great rigs - smooth, powerful and with a great range! :)

And much as I LOVE driving diesels, it's an upfront cost that I won't get back for too long. Not chasing the math on this one, but it's a small factor (desire to keep the initial cost down). Bigger factor is...I'm a sucker for anything with a turbo on it, and that 4 cyl is fun! :)
