I use CarPlay almost always for Navigation. In the past several weeks, I get the overlay display on the main cluster with navigation. I turn it off, but 75% of the time when I get back in the jeep the next day , it’s back on. Is there a setting I am unaware of?

Thanks

Post a pic of what you’re talking about…
I’m not following what you’re seeing.

I will have to take one, but in short, in the display settings menu, there is an option to have popups for navigation in the main cluster. I turn it off (remove the checked option). But it comes back the next day like the whole system reset (which it hasn’t). This is a 24 Rubi 4xe with the 12 inch screen. The popup comes between the gauges behind the steering wheel.

Ah, gotcha. You’ve got a different radio than mine. Have you installed the new radio head unit update?

What is update? My entire 12 inch screen froze up.last night couldn't get radio on nothing stuck in limbo. Today it works fine..should I hold in radio volume knob until it turns off then restart screen?

It updates automatically. I had one a month or so ago

You use Apple Maps?

Can't speak for Car play specifically but I believe you can remove Navigation as a console screen in the screen set up. This is not on the head unit, but using the d-pad buttons on the steering wheel.

It’s not a console screen, it’s a popup that can come across any screen, tpms, fuel mileage, etc…

Yea, but the cars nav shows up also, I just rarely use the oem.
Yeah, basically upcoming turns etc on the dash as if it was a HUD. I haven’t seen it on my Wrangler but probably because Google Maps isn’t allowed to interface with the car to the extent that Apple Maps can.

It seems you’ve found the relevant setting but it doesn’t “stick.” Sadly not sure where to go from there.

Exactly, and my Google maps don’t display either. Shame, I do enjoy the satellite view.

Gotcha, that is strange that it would continue to reset. Last thought would be a setting on Carplay on your phone while not connected to the vehicle. Maybe there is something in there? Or can you disable the apps ability to create popups? May only be an android thing

There isnt that much of a relationship that Carplay can change settings in the Jeeps HU... It has to be some quirk due to one of the Uconnect's updates Honestly though, if that is my only issue, I'm pretty happy!
