You know, its possible the guy didnt really think the seagulls would fall for the jeeps silent mode and assumed they would fly off at the last second as they tend to do. Unfortunately, he found out the 4xe really is the silent killer.

that would be my defense anyway. “Come on, who knew the stupid birds wouldnt actually hear the jeep in electric mode and would just keep standing there? Theyre too stupid for their own good your honor!”

When I taught my son his first shooting lesson with a BB gun he spotted a bird and somehow got it. When he proudly ran and got his first “kill” I asked You gonna eat it ?. When he said “No”, — Then why did you shoot it ? He has never forgotten that lesson and used it on his sons. 😊
Nobody has a problem killing rats and mice though and seagulls are just rats with wings.

This thread reminded me that I've had more birds try to cross directly in front of the Jeep as it's being driven than any other vehicle I've owned.

I'm not sure why that is -- any ideas here, kids? -- but it is certainly happening. The proof is sometimes there for me to see, wedged in the grille, after I arrive home. Most birds get by just in time, but a few don't.

I'm not trying to hit anything, truly, but I'm not adjusting my speed if I see a bird or squirrel on a suicide trajectory, either. What happens, happens.

Recently released video from an on looker shows the seagulls were grazing on a weed bale floating just off the coast. On the beach they were like “Dude is that Jeep real? It’s coming straight at us“. Then, “Oh wow man…I can’t feel my wings.”

It could be height related, I’ve had 2 owls and a pheasant through big rig passenger side windshields with the pheasant making it to the back of the sleeper. Another owl squashed but didn’t come through, fortunately, it was on the driver’s side…. Or maybe just the odds in ~4.5M mi.

My son's theory: "They're playing chicken"

Same thing happens to us. It's like they wait until they see the Jeep, then go for it!

Sigh. Why is it when I hear about shit like this, it's always a Jeep Wrangler involved.

I thought these asshats would've moved on to cybertrucks by now or something. smh lol.
