Kept it simple and just dropped the AEV piece. Really is only the bumpers anyway since they haven't released the lift publicly (and I went Clayton).

Are you not concerned about engine cooling considering how much of your grill is covered up with your massive lights and bull bar? They look awesome but I thought the 392 needed all of the air it could get, especially in the summer.

not concerned. There is a substantial amount of space between the lights/grill. - plenty for air to get around it and to the radiator.

if it becomes a problem, I’ll deal with it then. AEV runs the same setup on their factory built 392s as well

I am planning on going with the Clayton Overland and Fox 2.5 Performance Elite as well. How do you like the lift and shocks? Are the shocks worth the extra money?

The lift is great - extremely well made high quality parts. I've used them on a few Jeeps at this point and the results have always been great.

The Fox shocks are also awesome. I went with them as I like the adjustable damping for when I'm towing or running heavier. I also like to customize the ride quality to my liking - I find many off the shelf shocks to be too "floaty".

However, I am planning on sending these to Accutune at some point. They built a set of shocks for me on my first JLUR that were fantastic. I'm sure their tune on these will perfect them for my needs.

Great to hear and thanks for the response! It’s been hard to find reviews for the shocks that aren’t from companies that also sell them.

Still waiting on a few things from Apex, so didn’t tackle that as planned this weekend. Instead, I installed a few other upgrades I had in waiting.

Midland 275XT GMRS radio, Cool Tech antenna mount and 67Designs Magnetic Mic mount. It turned out very clean in the end. And I can yank the mic out when not in use.

I also installed an American Adventure Labs cargo shelf. Once you install the fridge in the back, the shelf gives you back meaningful storage space.

I’m not sure about the red accents on it, however. I might switch them out for black. I also have the AAL floor and fridge slide on order - fridge slide is supposed to have the same textured red on the face. As would any drawers I order in the future.

I saw “hybrid” in the title and assumed someone had lost their mind trying to turn the 392 into a hybrid somehow lol.

I do like the cargo shelf. Do, or would you have to remove the shelf if you were to put your soft-top on? I have a shelf as well; however, it mounts using the same bolts that hold the hard-top down. Meaning, I'd have to remove the shelf every time I wanted to lift the hard top off for the weekend, or, when I swap back & forth between my soft & hard top in the spring/fall. Obviously, that's not much fun...

Honestly, I don't know - that's a question AAL would need to answer. I've never run the soft top, so I'm not familiar with how it mounts.

Based on your pics, it looks like it would use the same holes. I'm just not sure if the soft top can be bolted over the AAL brackets.

Well, the 4xe does have an hp75 with a 134hp electric motor in place of the torque converter. All the drivetrain should be the same.

600hp 392 4xe that gets 20mpg city?
