Did you ever get your Apex system installed? Was about to purchase it but it says for 4.75 backspacing and up so was wondering if you had any issues or do the methods have enough room? My DL are only 4.5

I have not had the opportunity to install this kit yet as I took the rig camping this weekend. Perhaps this upcoming weekend I'll work on that.

The method 703 in zero offset have 4.75 backspacing, so I'm hopeful that it won't be a problem for me.

Decided to take the truck camping this weekend - used the AAL tire shelf to hold the tents. It worked perfectly. I'm hopeful this setup (along with the fridge slide and the cargo shelf) will help prevent the need for a roof rack for now.

Note that to fit the AAL tire shelf with the AEV rear tire carrier, I had to cut the upper pole / light mount off the tire-carrier. I used the same pipe cap AEV used on the lower pipe. I made the cut as well as painting it before it was installed. It turned out great and looks like it was intended to be that way. Pic of the shortened pipe included.

Iā€™ve been lazy about updating the build. Here are a few additions.

I swapped the factory 3.73 for 4.56. This was a fun but laborious project. The performance gain on 37s is awesome. Definitely worth the effort

I also installed the Apex steering system. Itā€™s definitely beefy, but Iā€™m not a fan of the Ninja washers. I just donā€™t like the design of bending over metal tabs. I prefer the serrated washers. Eventually Iā€™ll probably replace them. It was installed along with a Fox ATS steering stabilizer. In hindsight, this is totally overkill for my needs, but I have it and itā€˜s installed now.

I also installed The Innovate AT compressor setup, with the new brackets and fittings to allow and air chuck. This is a simpler setup for me than the slide in air fittings, and allows me to use the compressor for things other than just airing up.

Still waiting on parts from AAL. Theyā€™ve sent me the wrong thing a few times now. While I think their designs are great, they clearly need to work on the operations side of their business. Also, I have since bailed on the rear battery install, and will have the 392 bracket for sale soon. Hopefully they can get me the rest of the parts for my fridge slide and Iā€™ll have that installed as well.

Iā€™m running out o projects to do on this truck.
