Eh, I hear where you're coming from but if this is the only issue I'll have then I could live with that . The JL still is an amazing vehicle.
True. Very true. Could be worse. Just hope this is only issue.

Ok so I'm here now .They're telling me that they've pinpointed the problem to be the shifter assembly (googling this issue they've done the same for Cherokees and Grand Cherokee with the same problem). Now I'm just waiting on parts. Will call my case manager today to get it expedited.

They actually said the tech wasn't available to speak to me, so I'll mention that with the case manager once I get home. I'll try for more info next time I'm there, hopefully soon so I could pick it up.

Talk to Service Manager when you pick-up vehicle / after repair is completed. Service is obligated to tell you exactly what the fix entailed. If you don't ask for specifics, they will give you a very basic, canned response.

If it's anything like the shifter "light no eorking/malfunctioning" issue in the GC, there is no bulb replacement, they have to replace the whole shifter assembly....

My wife's has that issue now and she's out of warranty, they want a small fortune so I'm going to buy the part and do it myself. Luckily they will fix yours for free. Acquiring the part is what I would be most worried about....

Update:

They both called me today (service and then case manager). The parts are on order but are "backordered" right now. They won't be able to get an ETA for 24-48hrs as they are working with the assembly plant to obtain them. Case manager said it could be a few days or a few weeks, they just weren't sure. That being said, I told them I will pick up my Wrangler in the morning and then I'll bring it back when the parts come in. No reason I cannot drive the vehicle around until then. They said that's ok too and had no problem with it. Excited to finally drive my car I bought 3 weeks ago that was in the shop for nearly a week of that time.

Yes that's what I said. It won't even die in a 24hr period with that little light on. I'll live with it for now. Either way, she seemed confident they would get it from the assembly line fairly quickly. Hope that's true.
