Inching closer and closer to hopefully pulling the trigger on a JLU (Sahara or Sport S).

Had some time today, and finally test drove an '18 Sahara.

Dealer not too far from me has a run of their '18's on sale right now, with an advertised $10,000 off MSRP.

I test drove an almost fully loaded Sahara (Red) - MSRP of 55,000 (roughly) marked down to 45,000.
They also have some lower optioned Sahara's (MSRP of $46,870) Marked down to $36,870.

Not sure I need all the options in the $55,000 model, though I'm really considering the Sahara at the $36k price point. (they also have a Sport S nicely loaded with the dual top group for $38k.

On the Sahara, should I shoot for less? I was considering tossing an offer in at around $34,000-$35,000 OTD to see if they take it.

Thoughts?

Only if you are prepared for the dealership to toss you out on your ass lol.

I think you should be happy if they actually honor the 10k off. That is over 21% off MSRP.

To end up at 34k OTD they would have to sell the jeep for 35%+ off of sticker....

Agreed. 21% off of MSRP is a very solid deal! I would take that and run.

Yeah, go ahead and follow up with that dealer and try to get them to honor an advertised $10k off. Odds are good they'll tell you "oh, you don't qualify for all of these rebates" and when you're done it will be $3k off. Then tell them to pound sand and order from one of the dealers who doesn't play games like that.

On the flip side - if they'll actually sell to you at $10k off, go for it!
