pre-order from the retro source for 7" headlight adapters

Spoke with retrofit source today on my order of lights and adapters from 11/21. They were suppose to ship first week of December. Now the adapters are not expected to arrive until possibly January 4. Was told they can't pinpoint an exact arrival as they are not the manufacturer. Cancelled my order as to many other cheaper and potentially better options are out now.

I wouldnt mind the wait if they would just ship the rest of my order. I’ll even pay a little extra for shipping if that is what is holding them back. I’d imagine they have lost a few orders due to that policy.

I also called today and was told brackets won’t arrive until second week of January and possibly later. I ordered on Black Friday and got their super deal, morimoto 2.0 and brackets for $450 they said if we cancel order you can reorder sealed 7’s but without discount!

Yikes! Hidprojectors are also selling the buckets for $50 less. They told me they’ll start shipping out in January. For now I’ll just try my Pro Comps with amazon brackets.

Those amazon brackets look ok but not much to them....Cheap if they work that is awesome. Wonder how they look in the jeep...

I ordered one of those cheap sets off amazon as a stop gap until the other adapters arrive. Curious to see how they hold up.

I did cancel my order with Retrofit source. With the black Friday sale it was a good deal but I get the impression from speaking with them that they do not have a clue when they may be shipping. I will check out the amazon brackets too. I already have my Morimoto super 7's built and ready to install.....

Seems like Retrofit Source and HID Projectors have the same bucket and info. Both are saying January the earliest.

Thanks for your inquiry! We hope to have the JL brackets out in the next few weeks!

There will not be a sequential turn signal made for the standard sport model I'm afraid.

Seems like a few of us are in the same boat. I'm thinking the Amazon brackets are the same or similar ones that some vendors include with their 7" JL lights. I'll try to find time to install mine this weekend.

The headlights that some vendors have been selling are still 7 inch. I don’t know of any aftermarket headlights that are 9 inch yet.

Yes, they are 9" and this amazon adapter with the rubber cover looks to do the best job closing the gap, as the other (and much more expensive) sets have the exposed screws showing

They haven’t responded lately to emails, last they said was first week on January, that was mid December. Who knows anymore. I’m inpatiently waiting for mine!
