Powertank roll bar mount

Been a while since I posted. Life gets busy. So here’s my solution to getting a good mounting location for my powertank that helped maximize the space in my 2 door. I used the stock soft top mounting holes and fabricated and welded a bracket to get the powertank cage to mount at the right angle and off set. It was a tight fit and required some tweaking to get everything to work.

Looks good. You’ll love the powertank. I used one on my last dedicated trail rig. It ran the arb lockers and was also handy if I ever needed to set a bead. The rig got towed everywhere so rarely did I have to air up with it, but when i did, it was wayyyy quicker than my on-board compressor.

That looks great!! Mounting options have been the reason I haven't purchased the Power Tank yet. I also have a 2door. Have you thought about making a few up for us non fabricators ?$$ Lol. I'd be interested

I like that you use the soft top hardware mounting holes. I was looking at my 2 door hardtop the other day and was just thinking..... "Holy crap" someone needs to make a fire extinguisher bracket for a quick release mount with those holes. By using those holes I think you are opening a door to a whole plethora of ideas for mounting everything from tanks to highlift jacks. You could start a company that makes nothing but mounting brackets. You're setting on a potential gold mine.

Unrelated unfortunately, but quick question. where did you get your Molle bag on the tailgate door? A link would be great if you have it. I ask because it appears similar to the size and style I am looking for. I want to be able to affix patches. Thanks in Advance...

It was just an IFAK med pouch off of Amazon. I cut a little bit of the plastic slate in the tailgate to get it to mount to the plastic where I wanted it.

Powertank makes a mount, but it uses the same mount points as your soft top. You may have to go with a custom built option.
