Wow, this seems to be a Tazer support section.

Anyone doing anything to generate additional power out of this 3.6? The computer is going to learn over just about anything I do... Got a CAI, plans for exhaust upgrade.

Is there a reputable source for computer programs to utilize performance upgrades?

Don't worry, I followed all the instructions and my Tazer JL works fine. I even enjoyed the light show for a moment or two... :)

Unfortunately, you aren't going to get much more, if anything, out of the 3.6. It's pretty much optimized as it comes. A CAI will essentially add intake noise more than anything else. An exhaust upgrade may free up a bit of horsepower, but the amount will be negligible and likely not even felt. I'd save your money for other upgrades.

If you have 3.45 gearing (don't know what trim you have), a re-gear will wake it up!

SuperChips TD3 It has performance tunes. Not sure about CAI specific tunes (you can call them), but their regular 93 octane tunes will probably benefit from a CAI. The ecu will learn and adjust for minor changes like intake and exhaust. Added benefit of the TD3 would be the onscreen trail functions like locking the rear and/or disconnecting the swaybar in 2wd, idle speed control for winching, etc...

Might be worth a look. I have one for my 2.0 and really like it. The 93 tune works great for me.

I have the XR Rubicon with the 3.6. It feels decent enough or what I would describe as "Adequate" acceleration. I know what you are trying to get at. I think the best power increaser is to get the Hurricane I-6 motor! the 4.56 gearing is Ok. Seems to be ideal for what it is. I too, have the CAI and for the most part "think" I am making power every time I open the butterflies to get the sound out of it! Satisfies me for now ;)

I got the Livernois tune about 2 years ago and its a big difference from stock. Not just in power, they give a separate tune to optimize the transmission. Being able to use E85 is nice as well when the price is right. I thought i read they were developing a tune for e torque.

God knows the transmission needs some remapping. Sheesh. I have the ZF8HP75 in my WK2 and LOVE it, but this Chrysler knock off of it is terribly awkward.

Interesting... 🤔
Mine works great in my '22 Willys.
This is the third iteration of the ZF8 I've owned. First was in my 2016 Ram 1500 Hemi, second in the wifes new X5, and now this one. They've all worked exceptionally well, (admittedly in the BMW, it's in another league).

Off the shelf tunes like livernoise pick up as much as 51hp and 57ftlbs to the wheels, but that's not much? Optimized as it comes? Hardly. 25% more power to the wheels is massive.
