Why a software update though if it's just aluminum vs cast iron box? Are they raising the heat limit in the computer? Is the valving slightly different in the box requiring the the computer to adjust the pressure/volume? Forgive my ignorant questions, I don't even have mine yet! Just thinking aloud.

Pretty sure the new box is to cure the dead spot/wandering steering problem. I don't think it will help with the overheating. That will be cured by an aftermarket cooler or a traditional hyd pump system.

Any tips with solving the over heating issues? I have a 4xe and getting the light coming on when aired down Offroad. Is there a cooler besides Apex folks like?

What size tires are your running? If stock, not sure what to tell you . . . there might be something going on. If you've larger tires, the power steering pump is having to work harder while crawling . . . I have experienced a dash board warning message while rock crawling indicating my power steering performance may be affected due to overheating. I activated the "engine cooldown mode" feature provided by my Tazer JL mini, and within minutes, the problem cleared.

I used a 35$ 24” heat sink when I added hydro assist . +8k miles , locked front and rear ,aired down +-10psi 40” Goodyears on heavy axles 1800 psi pump pressure . Zero overheating issues

Outstanding news! Which hydro assist did you pick? I am looking at red neck ram as PSC doesn’t have a 4xe option. Which heat sink and does it plumb into your return line? Thanks!!!
