There are 392 owners on this forum who have stated they were unable to pass 99mph.
I think IF the 392 has the higher limit then it may only be for those who were able to get the XR package on the 392. Just my guess as the 392 without XR always had a sub 100mph limit at launch I believe.

A wrangler at 97mph would be a scary ride.
Hi,

All depends upon conditions, road weather and surroundings,

I've done 90 most of the way to FL from MI in my wife's JK with no issues, but also making sure I am aware of surroundings and conditions, and been in the buck range a few times...

Really don't understand why mfg's have to put speedimiters on vehicles as my old 96 Taco would die at 85 and after a gear change would cut out at 70, thankfully a place mad a disable device.

If you're not comfortable going x speed then you shouldn't, only wish some people on bad weather days would do that analysts before they leave the driveway

Regards,
Jim

My build sheet just showed up from an 11/4 order. What's that actually mean? how long after that shows do you typically see your window sticker and ship date?

Typically build sheet shows up once it hits the assembly line, and could be about 7-14 days until a window sticker which usually means it is ready to be shipped out +/- a few days. Congrats on the progress! Fellow 11/11 order here just hit D1, so close behind u

So I'm looking to buy a lightly used XR suspension setup and swap it out on my JLUR (non XR). I'm going to 35s and would like just a tad more lift. From my understanding, the XR suspension give you ~1.5" over a non-XR Rubicon correct? Thanks in advance!

Yes, 1.5" over stock Rubi is the predominant understanding. It may certainly vary depending on the various options one may have, but there is some evidence of different springs being used from the factory to compensate. So...it may depend on who you get your take-offs from and what you have hanging off the front of your Jeep. I don't have my XR yet, so just relaying information that I've read from others...

Hi,

So a XR sits 2.5 inches taller than a regular JLUR, as the tires alone only raise it a inch?

Regards,
Jk.

Nope, total 1.5" over normal JLUR. Tires don't add that much height overall

You’re probably looking at 2” to 3” taller overall. We’re probably splitting hairs at this point, but technically the difference in tire diameter is 1.6”. So about 3/4” height diff at the axle or “not much” as someone else just indicated.

Edit: just read that someone’s 392 XR was 3” taller than their stock Rubicon. I couldn’t quickly find a non-392 comparison so this may not mean much. I will keep looking.

I wouldn’t bother with the XR suspension. All you will get is springs shocks and swaybar links. The other parts are welded or built in like the rear trackbar mount and front extended bumpstops so you will need to buy parts anyway to make it complete. Just buy a quality, complete 2” lift.
in about a month I’ll be selling my XR springs and shocks but I’m up in Canada.

They come with BFG KO2 which are on the short end of the stick for 35s. I would agree my XR is only 1.5-2 taller then a regular Rubi. XR is Definitely shorter then our Sahara with a 2.5” lift on 35” Duratracs.

Awesome. I found a used set with less athan 1k miles on it for 300 plus shipping. I'm thinking shipping will be about 100 bucks. Kit includes Front and rear springs, rear bump stops, front coil isolators, front upper control arms, sway bar links, front and rear shocks and front and rear track bars.
Good deal??

You will have to see once you get it all together. The rear axle on the XR has a welded on raised trackbar bracket so likely it will be the same rear trackbar you already have. A quick measure will tell you whether or not you will need an adjustable rear trackbar or raised bracket.

His front and rear track bar part numbers are different than mine so I assume they are different ?‍♂
