I dont have one. Although I like to wheel, where I go you don’t need a winch. It’s pretty mild stuff

The winch on my Jeep has been moved from two prior Jeeps to this one, so it has been around for a while, and was used on each Jeep. On this Jeep, I have used it twice to recover my own Jeep, and twice to recover other vehicles. So, not a lot of use on this Jeep, but having 40" tires decreases the number of times you need to use a winch by a large amount.

Jeep Wrangler JL Poll: winch or no winch IMG_0327

I’m in the desert. Not a tree in sight only a couple shrubs. Nothing to anchor to so I haven’t had one since 2013 when I started on the jeep thing.

You could anchor to other jeeps, I bet someone has one so why bother, makes sense.

That trail looks great, I don’t care for mud or big rocks, long scenic gravel roads, Perfect!
