Poll - Does your trans whine?

Due to the cut of the gears, a gear whine in reverse is 100% normal (many vehicles do this). However, it should not whine in any of the forward gears. The whine in mine would increase with speed. I opine that some of the ZF8 transmissions were underfilled from the factory (mine was) and thus a bearing (likely in the pump) was scored due to the low fluid.

Guess I’ll find out if/when the pump fails. And how much it’ll be or if it takes out the entire trans if it goes. Been rocking it like this since 55k miles thus far. 70k now.
