They will light up the hood and that does bother some people. I have KC slimlites mounted on KC brackets and the light on the hood does not distract me at all.
Those LP4's have side lights on them and I'm pretty sure Baja D makes a sheild that blocks the side light for mounting situations like this.

I have Mopar's mounts and installed lights on the side so I can still fold the windshield down, but this also prevents any hood glare when I use the lights.

Sorry if this is a dumb question as I’ve never had pillar lights before. But I keep thinking that they would have a strong glare on the hood, especially on mine as it’s white.

Am I overthinking this?

I am thinking about putting a set of Baja designs LP4s on Artec mounts

Hey @Ron_Short,

With considering picking up a set of LP4 for your A-pillar, they may cause some hood glare. I suggest adjusting the light slightly and considering our IPT blockers to reduce the glare. If you have any questions about any of lighting options or would like to get a quote built out. Please feel free to send me a PM.

Best,
Bill

I just turned mine slightly more outward (they are ditch lights after all) and problem solved.

https://www.bajadesigns.com/products/lp4-pro-led-auxiliary-light-pod/?sku=290001

Amperage Rating (A)5.500
Average Rated Life (hr.)49,930
Backlight Amperage Rating (A)0.350
Backlight Wattage (W)4.830

Am I reading this correctly stating that this light only draws 6 A with the backlight included?

I know LEDs are pretty efficient, but that seems lower than I would’ve thought.
Hey @Ron-Short,

Correct, for our LP4 they will pull 5.5A per light and when having the back light on they will pull 0.350A.

Best,
Bill

‘thanks. Just sounded toooo efficient lol. So 2 on a 15 amp circuit (oem aux switches) is fine then?
