Traded in our 2023 Sahara 4xE and upgraded to this gas Rubicon with 29mi.

Only this Rubicon threw me off a little bit because it has a lot of the features of the Rubicon X. I believe the only features that it doesn’t have are the larger 37” tires and steel bumpers. Things like color matched fenders, front facing camera, wired trailer hook up, Moab(?) hood, Nappa leather heated power seats/steering wheel.

Before trade-in, and after negotiation we were able to pick this up for about what a base Rubicon goes for, and bluebook trade-in on our Sahara (even with the current recalls). Thought I’d share, pretty excited.

Congrats. Good looking Rubicon.

The Rubicon X has color matched top, Mopar headliner, 4.56 gears, 35" tires, hinge gate reinforcement, steel bumpers, napa leather, power seats and a few other bits.

Unless, like my Rubi X, a manual transmission, it still comes with 4.10 gears and 33” tires. Unfortunately us manual transmission folks can only opt for 4.88 gears and nothing else. At least for my 2025. I honestly think the 4.56 or 4.88 gears are a better match for the manual.

Congrats … looks good. What’s the first thing your changing?
Well my wife is the primary driver and she’s short… So out of necessity will need rock slides with steps. Otherwise thinking of steel bumpers.

Do the new Rubicon's come with the Mojave hood? If so are they steel or aluminum?

Yes, or the power dome , steel, due to an aluminum shortage
Thread from yesterday
I've seen the 4-doors showing up with the steel hood. Here's a 2-door.

I just regeared my 2024 JLUR 6MT to 4.88 and it's a great match for the 37s. I wished I had checked the gears box when I ordered but I didn't know I needed them then.

Agreed, for the cost of it it’s kind of a no brainer from the factory anyway in hindsight.

Out of curiosity, did it come with the aluminum oil cooler housing?

It is funny how you can build a Rubicon with all of the Rubicon X bits, at least you could on my 2025 Rubicon, and it doesn't get bumped up to being called the X.

Mine was on a dealer lot.
