I bought the bullet point mounts, one for both sides, very nice product. I wasn't to hot on the idea of chopping the 2 ends of the OEM rubber insert completely off though. So I thought I would try something different. I cut just so the insert would clear around the mounting balls and lay a little bit over the bracket. I cut the webbing out of the bottom side of the dash insert. And I used the 2 screws I already had in place that comes with the mounts, drilled 2 holes on each side of the insert and used those to secure the ends of the insert.
Maybe I am a freak, I just think it's a little cleaner nicer finished look. It does bunch up a little in the middle because of the space taken up by the brackets but you can't see it while driving, it may lay down better in time. I am happy with it.
