I would love to meet up with some members for green trails at raush, reading, or maybe AOAA depending how far it is from Chambersburg. Raush is about a 1.5 hour drive for me.

I need to get more green under my belt and know what my Jeep can handle( I just put 35x12.5x17 nitto ridge grapplers on my stock wheels with 1.5” bora wheels spacers). Also I have a 2019 JLUR. If I rub I know I need some kind of lift

You ever do the course off road consulting does? It will show you what that will do. After many years of being away from off-roading I decided to take the 101 as a good refresher. It was very nice to see what the Jeep was capable of. I’m going back down to Rausch creek for their 201 class in August.

Go to their web site. Offroad-consulting. Com. There you will see what they all have to offer. 101 class,201,and 301. Winching and recovery plus guided rides. The classes are a little expensive. But I looked at it as I would rather pay someone that this is what they do for a living vs having my buddy tell me yeah sure you can definitely do that haha. I think it’s a good investment. I just did the 101 and already signed up for the 201 in August.

So I see the cost for the classes is separate from the entrance fees from raush creek. Fully understanle and not an issue, just curious if I have a Jeep with 3 people is the cost from them higher than it would be if i was in my Jeep by myself?

I went with my son (12) so under 16 is no charge from either side. I did have to pay the $50 RC daily fee. But it also says you need to pay the $20 membership fee which I do not have to do. They told me since I was there for the class it is waived. And as I understand for the class passengers are free too... don’t quote me on that but that’s what it sounded like when he explained it to me. Shoot them an email and see to be certain though

I will be moving back to Pennsylvania at the end of August and am looking to do the September 101 class at Rausch if anyone else is interested. I have a stock JLUR and have been to Rausch many times, but its been 7 years since I drove a Jeep offroad so I want a good refresher.

what weekend are you looking at? I was planning on going to the Aug. 24th class. Depending on what weekend I could possibly change.

I was thinking about doing the Sept 15th green guided ride. I move back Aug 23rd so I cannot do the 24th class. Do you know what the difference is between the 101 class and the green guided ride?

From what I have seen is the class is more of a learning experience and the guided tour is mainly just follow us through these trails and the course will be tailored to the least capable vehicle

if I can make it I might still be interested no matter what. I just have to make sure I’m free that day

Ok sounds good. I would be looking more at the green guided ride for that day. I'll keep an eye on this thread to see if we can get a group to go all together.

Just registered for the Aug. 24th 101 class at Raush Creek.
Unfortunately I move up the day before or I would register as well. Hopefully we can get a green trail ride together before the weather turns.
