No one and I'm sure I could talk to everybody there and it wouldn't make a difference. I talked to Jeep Customer Care and they spoke with the dealership and everybody is saying the same thing.
Did you buy/lease it there.. if so make an appointment or go in and talk with General Manager , he/she makes all the decisions for the dealership as a whole ..

Tow it to another dealer. At worst, you get another place telling you the same thing.

I agree. Time to have Jeep tow it to another dealer. I paid for AAA to tow it to this dealer. Do I call Jeep Customer Care to have it towed on their dime this time?

I wouldn’t call customer care, because they will have it towed to the nearest dealership and it’s already at a dealership

Well it isn't at the nearest dealership to my home. Is there a direct line for Jeep roadside assistance?

Nearest dealership to where it broke down, but since you paid then they took it where you wanted it to go

This is why service surveys are so important. Be factual, non bias and remove emotion, no matter how bad the service was. A bad survey gets attention very quick.
That is exactly what I did when I received the post purchase dealership survey. The first dealership (which was my preferred dealership due to past experiences with negotiating for my mother her 2011 Grand Cherokee that she bought new as well as how they handled warranty work for her) and the second dealership (closest to my house, like 3 miles away) both were unable to come close to wait I paid buying from Ourisman. The first dealership got fairly slammed, the second one, neutrally noted, and third fairly, but not overly praised.

As for the sketchiness of the diagnostic fee, let me tell you all the story of my 2013 Subaru BRZ. At 38,606 miles, it stacked the main bearings causing the rods to beat the crankshaft. It was towed to a dealership. Subaru initially denied the warranty claim for a single drop of oil on the drain plug and the dealership claimed that the car was low on oil and needed to add 4.5 quarts. They ultimately agreed to strip the motor on their dime to determine if they would cover it under warranty and the reason I didn't was because their was a stock 2011 WRX sitting right next to my BRZ with the engine sitting inside the shop in several different boxes. It had blown ring lands and they denied the warranty and were returning the car back completely disassembled. In addition, the car was racking up $35/day storage fees. Fast forward a few weeks when I finally decide to eat the cost and dropped the motor off to Moto East to be rebuilt. They pulled 10+ quarts of oil from the motor.

That scummy dealership and warranty denial was all a scam from the start and even they were going to pay for the diagnostic and tear down. It's okay, they only wanted ~$11k for a new long block assembly plus labor to install it.

And some people here wonder why I don't agree to pay for diagnostic. It's just a gateway to more pain.

Here's the thing, you're automatically assuming the dealer is out to fuck you. While yes there are dealers out there that pull shady shenanigans, there are just as many, if not more that are honest.

As I shared previously with my situation. I very easily could have been on the hook for anywhere from $3500 to $6000 for a new transmission on my wife's Ram 2500 due to the fact it was lifted and rolling on 37" tires. While I did have a a less than stellar experience the dealer we initially had the truck towed to, the dealer we ultimately had the truck repaired at was honest and fair. Yes we had to agree a $500 tear down of the trans to get to the cause of the issue, and in our situation while they could have easily have tried to blame the lift or the big tires for the cracked valve body, they didn't and the repair was covered under warranty.

As more and more details come out about your situation, I can understand the stance the dealer is taking. If the clutch was indeed smoking and there was a hole in the side the of the transmission and the Jeep was muddy it's enough to raise an eye brow (kinda like having a lifted truck on 37's with a blown trans towed in). It's likely they don't often get Wranglers towed in with that sort of issue so they're protecting themselves for the time their tech needs to put into diagnosing what truly the caused of the problem.

The fact that nearly two weeks later you're still putting up a fight about gives the optics that this is less about principle and more that you're concerned about the possibility you may have done something to cause the issue. As it's been stated many times previously, if you agree to the diagnostic fee and they determine the failure is covered under warranty you do not get charged anything.

Exactly! Put yourself in their shoes. If they spend all that time tearing it apart and find out its not under warranty, they need to know they will get paid for their time. They don't have to just trust you...

If I knew I would get a fair assessment on the dealership's end and on Chrysler's end then it would only make sense to agree to the diagnostic charges. But there are plenty of stories in this thread and all over the internet about dealerships and car makers not acting fairly in this exact situation and that's why I hesitate to start down the rabbit hole. Will make a decision soon.

Chrysler refuses to cover it and I'm told the repair will be over $6,000. They say no sign of mechanical failure.
