So I just found a hole in the soft top of my brand new 2025 JL. I have 2250 miles on it. Dealership said looks like it was done by a critter so jeep won’t cover it. Anyone know any good patches for the soft top. They said make an insurance claim.

I have used this with great results started as a trail repair but ended up perminate. I have used it on twill and sail cloth applied to the inside. Twill needs to be really clean.

You could file a comprehensive claim with your insurance.

Dealership said “critter.” What say you? Is the hole in a wear area or a pinch point, etc.? Your critters may be more aggressive than ours, but odd they’d zero in on your brand new Wrangler. Sucks, hopefully the insurance route pays off. Good luck!

It’s close to a seam but far enough away that even I didn’t think it was a manufacturing defect. It looks like a bird was attacking the top of the jeep. I’ll have to get a picture. It’s super strange. The hole isn’t very big but enough to see light from inside. I know water isn’t getting in even in the down pour I drove in this morning. And there are almost bird like claw/talon prints from where it was holding on. And the hole isn’t very from that, just for enough away from the prints to like it had something it was trying to eat? Idk. It’s annoying. And it’s definitely from external to internal puncture.

A mouse chewed a 1/2" hole in my 1 year old twill top over the winter (while hard top on). No upholstery places in my area would touch it so I tried the "Black Hole Patch" based on recommendations from this forum. It comes with four 3" rounds and two 5x7 rectangles for $15. My first impression was the material is pretty thin, but I put a circle on the inside and outside and it's holding well so far. Here is the link:
