There’s no debate. Paint them. Caliper covers always look tacky and pretentious and they don’t do your brakes any favors by retaining braking heat and dust. Paint.

IMO painting stock calipers is tacky. If they were performance brakes or Brembos or something, they'd already be painted.
Don't listen to the dude that has red Brembos on his AMG. Do if you like it?! I happen to myself and its on my to-do list.

Don't listen to the dude that has red Brembos on his AMG. Do if you like it! I happen to myself and its on my to-do list.
I've owned many cars that didn't have performance brakes and I never painted the calipers for the reason I stated above - I think it looks tacky. It's something teenage me might do if I owned a Civic with a big spoiler and a bodykit.

paint them and the brackets, used two stage eastwoods, looks better than rusty calipers and brackets. actually wish they came powder coated like the huge brembos on my SRT

If you don’t want the rust look, but don’t want flash, just paint them black.
