Yea, they dry up fast when winter approaches. There was tiny trout in one of the ruts that filled with water wondering what in the wold happened to his home.

The environmentalist in me wants to comment regarding important amphibians and reptiles that hibernate in the mud of those seasonal ponds... but I will refrain ?
