Has anyone experienced the parking sensors triggering (during reverse operations obviously) but there is nothing behind the Jeep?
This happened again to me today, and in the same exact circumstances leaving work. All other reverse ops have been fine.
The two times the sensors went crazy I was backing out of a spot, the sun was bright and off the front of the Jeep. There was a large shadow visible in the camera. Sensors are clean too. As I turned the Jeep, backing, the sensors stopped alarming, and both days I drove briefly in reverse after the false events, in different directions relative to the sun… and had no issues.
Is the camera involved with reverse sensing? Seems maybe my huge shadow got something befuddled. No other sensor false alarms immediately after this event and at different angles.
