Good morning!
New to Jeep, bought a 2026 Jeep Willys 2 weeks ago. Was excited and it is fun to drive. As I was getting into the Jeep life and scrolling endlessly online about Wrangler things, I saw other Willys at the top of searches for sale. Started down a bit of a rabbit hole and noticed quite a bit of differences in pricing for same packages and equipment. I thought at first, with mine being more than the others i saw, it would have more options... NOPE! I looked at the same optioned Jeep and they were thousands less. From the 24W package being up to $2k more than others on identical Willys to even my transmission costing $1,500 more than another. I really thought I got a good deal with getting about $7k knocked off, but looking others in town and around the area, with all the higher packaged costs I wound up paying the same or more. Any insights on this would be great. Want to enjoy this thing and not feel scammed!

I went down this same rabbit hole while negotiating to buy my 26 Rubicon X. No dealer would or could tell me why the big price differences for the same package and equipment. Finally, the sales manager from the dealer I bought from came in and leveled with me. He said they are hidden costs to boost profit. Some were $2,500, some were $4,500 and they were actually on the sticker from the factory. They decreased the price from the factory for 26 models a couple of thousand dollars on the top but made it up in a sneaky way down below

Not sure if it helps with not feeling scammed but some added insight anyway. Ha! Thank you!

Welcome to the financial world of Stellantis. It is anchored firmly in the Wally World cosmos.

As Ratbert points out, there has been a recent price drop. But prices still vary wildly from Dealership to Stealership. And Stellantis doesn't approve of you going down that rabbit hole anyway (says so in the Owners Manual :surprised:). Tsk, tsk.

Seriously, don't dig around online, you will find a better advertised deal. just drive the hell out of it and be happy!

You can at least be happy knowing that you aren't one of the 392 owners that paid $100K for what you can now get for $80K.
There is always a silver lining!
@LSJKU Thank you! I found the section in the manual and will now refrain from the rabbit holes so i don't break the manufacture's warranty.
@Ratbert Thank you! I would have never guessed letting a car sit a lot for a while would be detrimental to the savings.
Thank you all and will try to focus on fun!
