I NEED HELP with diagnosing the problem ! My Jeep is overheating when idle, we had low coolant, added it in, but now the coolant is NOT being pulled from the Reservoirs. I have a Sahara unlimited with a 4 cylinder 2.0L Turbo engine. We think it may be the thermostat but not sure if could be a hot air pocket. Also the the heater is not blowing out hot air!

You probably have a bubble in the system and it needs to be bled out. Not sure what engine you have, but I would youtube how to do it on your engine.

Coolant doesn’t just get low. You probably have that same old coolant leak every 2.0 has at the water pump housing.

agreed with mwilk012. if you reservoir was empty you have a leak somewhere. If it was low enough to create a air gap to keep the t-stat from coming on then you have a leak that's rather large. Newer cars need to be burped. also what is overheating? ive seen normal operation of up to 220 on my coolant on 100+ degree days.
