Hey gang... real new to the group but have an important question.

Ordered a jk back in aug 20th when the dealer could take 2018 orders.

At the time we worked put price and what payments would be. The intest rate fot new jeeps was 3.99 %

Im due to pick up my new jeep this week. Question is i see now the rate for jeeps is 5.99%.

Should i expect the dealer to hounor the price when i first ordered.... or am i out of luck if there best rate changed.

First time ordering a jeep so no idea?

Have you researched rates in the area? I don't know about Canada... in the US many people wouldn't fall for 6%. I can get 3% for 72 months here in the states, and probably 2% for 60 months.

Can't say what the dealer will do. Yes, will honor price -- probably is not required to honor interest rate unless you -already- signed the paperwork stating said interest rate, which would also have to not have any language saying the rate is subject to change.

For me personally when the JLU can be ordered, I will put down a $500 deposit and then get the lowest rate I can for 72 months with 10% down (and pay taxes/fees upfront). This will cover the first 18 months of depreciation and ensure I'm then never underwater.

Interested to see what happens. I wouldn't take anything over 3% for 72 months.

Are you stuck with dealer financing? Credit unions/banks might be better options?

I came with a quote from USAA...the dealer could beat it by a bit...so I went with them.

Last vehicle I did, they couldn't come close (USAA and other credit unions here have been basically giving away money for vehicles for a while, though)
