Just went on jeep contact chat to ask for update. They wouldn't give me the status code, last week they told me d1 and I have my vin. This lady said they're not allowed to give status code, anyone else heard of that??

Jeep chat never ceases to amaze me.

Contacted them this morning.

Their first response was: D1 - all parts arrived and the vehicle is sequenced and waiting to be built.

I responded with: Your system is very delayed - I entered framing on the 26th (per the spreadsheet here)

They respond: Oh, you are in framing. I see it here. Your vehicle should be ready to ship in the next day or so.

Just had the same issue....yesterday I was in Status E, checked with chat again today and they say D1 and don't know where Status E came from, wow is their system backwards.

Got told I am in F, they even said I am scheduled to go G (trim) status by 9:00am 1/29....never had such a detailed update before....anyone else?

just FYI customer rep name was Dylan...so if you get him (yes I assume genders) he likes details LOL

Their system makes me want to jump off of a bridge.

I wonder what the paint process is in an assembly line....I mean do they have tech to paint a vehicle in under 24 hours? paint and C/C, easy bake oven curing and all?

Dylan hooked me up yesterday, today Michael not so much.

It is rather depressing that you can talk to two different chat agents back-to-back and get two completely different order statuses.

this is older and for a liberty, but im guessing the process is still similar with maybe a technology upgrade here or there.



so basically they dip treat it a few times, then powder coated...then base coated...then Clear coated...all done in 1 day lol....curing is 30 minute portions...from paint it goes into final...from what I researched once a vehicle is painted, and pending inspection results are good, it is basically assembled in a day or two.

I had no idea it was all electrically charged painting....I mean it makes sense for accuracy and speed, but I had no idea. I just figured a bunch of robots painted the thing like normal and it sat in a long oven with 3 or 4 other Jeeps for 24 hours to cure.

Just got Dylan again from yesterday and he says I'm in Status G - Trim. Man jeep chat is frustrating. Dylan at least tells me what I want to hear....lmoa!

i got that same lady, everyone gave me the status code then I got her again the next day, I disconnected and tried again and got someone else

@JAY any idea when order tracking will open up again?

Sorry if you get this questions a billion times a week but with some of the members getting some delivered I can imagine the headache will soon resume
