Just remember, their customer is the dealer, not you. So make sure to contact your dealer and have them try to get the answers, although it probably won't matter.
If the customer is the dealer and not me then why the hell would they provide me with a means of contacting them. Also my dealer won't tell me anything and seems annoyed that I have the audacity to ask. Mine has been in the shipping stage for over 6 weeks now while others built after it shipped to the same dealer and others in the area. Still no ETA or any information from Jeep or the dealer.

You post the same garbage over and over again, there are tons of people stuck waiting for shipping, with and without tow pkg, it’s not just your precious Jeep waiting.

Yeah it’s sad that my order went straight through while others are waiting still. I was kind of hesitant to post this at first because it’s a sore subject but I’m hoping that my good luck is a sign that things are getting better and lead times are shortening. When I put my order in the dealer did say I had a very uncommon build and that that could make my order take a lot more time or cut down a lot of time so I don’t know if that theory really works out but that is what they said. When I talked to the dealer today they were amazed and said this was the fastest turnaround that they’ve seen in a long time, note that I have been staying in contact with them and they’ve been telling me May or June for a while now so it was a surprise to them.

Well you come back and tell me how patient and satisfied with Jeep customer service you are when yours sits in shipping status for a month and a half while other going to the same area pass it by and every attempt to find out why is ignored. If my posts are garbage quit reading and responding to them. I'm just trying to figure things out and share my finding in hopes that it might help someone else.

No one here is going to be upset that you got lucky and letting people know the details of your order is helpful to those of us still waiting. We might post a snarky gif telling you to go to hell because you were lucky and we weren't but it's all in good fun. Glad you weren't stuck in shipping limbo like some of us. I do kind hope there's a pin in your seat that pokes you in the ass the whole ride home though!

OMG, I'm dying here. That may be the funniest thing I've read on here since I joined.

But I think it perfectly conveys some of our feelings. Holding no malice against those with quick turns, just frustrated that some of ours take so long. It's looking like both of mine will be 15 weeks.

That Jeep is awesome. The red interior accents look great with the red exterior. Amazingly, that's the first time I've seen pics of that color combination. Congrats!

Well it looks like my very good luck with the order build/shipment process ended there. I drove from Houston to Lake Charles today to get it but sadly it started having manual transmission shift issues before I even left the dealer’s lot so I had to come back home without it :(

The shop was closed by the time we discovered the problem so they are going to have some techs look it over it the morning. ?

The issue is every odd, I stalled it like 6 times trying to leave the dealer’s lot and I was thinking it couldn’t be my skill level because I recently drove other manual vehicles (people were literally laughing at me thinking I bought one with a manual transmission and couldn’t drive it lol). I finally realized that when I put it into 1st gear the system was putting it into 3rd gear instead so trying to get it to go from being stopped in 3rd gear explained the stalling. Also it would only go into reverse about 20% of the time and it would only going into 1st gear about 10% of the time and so the rest of the time it would just go into 3rd gear instead. The managers looked it over and came to the same conclusion.

They looked it over and it was a simple cable linkage disconnect issue, they have a driver bringing it from Lake Charles to Houston now. By the way, I don’t think I mentioned this earlier but if you’re looking for a deal you should contact my salesman Derrick at Mark Dodge. He was able to get me 5% below invoice on the ordered unit, I don’t know if that deal is still available on ordered units but you can always ask (there could be a better or worse deal to be had by now).

Wait - the shift linkage on the 6-Speed Manual Transmission is a cable?

[I have so much to learn about these new Jeeps...]
