Dealer, mine didn’t ask for one.. I asked, they said don’t sweat it.Hello: New member. When you guys made your JLU order deposit did the dealer give you a receipt that stated Refundable Deposit. Is the deposit amount set by FCA or the dealer.
I Have my own financing with a 0 Downpayment. The dealer is refusing to write Refundable Deposit. What do you guys think?I believe it’s set by the dealership as different dealerships in my area had different deposit amounts. I also believe they are usually non-refundable. Mine was a $500 non-runfundable and I received a receipt.
If they won’t write refundable then I’d assume it’s non-refundable.I Have my own financing with a 0 Downpayment. The dealer is refusing to write Refundable Deposit. What do you guys think?
I’m glad my dealer doesn’t operate that way, but it is fairly typical, if you’ve got a good deal with them and things are on the up and up, I wouldn’t worry about something like a $500 non refundable, I think lots of guys on here have done the same.I Have my own financing with a 0 Downpayment. The dealer is refusing to write Refundable Deposit. What do you guys think?
Because I am not financing with them. I will buy the Rubi I am pretty approved. Do you see my point.Legally if they do not write a refundable it gives them a reason to keep the Order Deposit.I made $1000 non refundable deposit for my order. Why wouldn't you want to if you are serious which I am?
Because they could turn around and try to stab you on the deal. It isn't set in stone until you pay up.I made $1000 non refundable deposit for my order. Why wouldn't you want to if you are serious which I am?
They aren’t going to keep $500 cash around, they’ll deposit it so they can account for it and you’d receive a check back.... pretty standard process in any larger business.Mine is $500 refundable and written. But in the midst of the pricing, I changed my mind and told them I wanted to cancel my purchase. They claimed to have "mailed me back my $500 check", which never came in...I told them I would come to the dealer and pickup the money myself and they said the "mailman took the check before they could get to it"
Then the Koons deal came along, and I told them that I'll keep my order but I haven't received the $500 they mailed me almost 3 weeks ago.
Then they magically said, "oh we still have it".
First of all, I gave them $500 in cash. Got a receipt back that said its $500 refundable. When I changed my mind about the order, they said they have to "process the money before I get it back" and I would only receive a "check" back from them, which seemed like total Bullsh*t. If I gave them $500 in cash refundable and changed my mind, I expect to get that same $500 in cash back. Not some type of check.
So the dealers out there are still trying to act sly despite saying the deposit is refundable.
