Hey Y'all! I am about to pull the trigger on this Rubicon with Xtreme Recon, V6, heavy-duty tow package (I tow across country), and the added bonus of premium sound. I have been looking for over a week, and I'm tired. Is it priced fairly? Thanks for your opinions. This is a real upgrade for me! PS don't buy it out from under me if it's a good deal. I desperately need an upgrade!

That's a fantastic vehicle, but that configuration would have only cost about $54k or so when it was brand new (typical price paid back then was about $8-10k off sticker), so you're not really saving a ton on buying this used one. However, it's very low mileage so it's nearly new. So that's good. And the Carfax report and Carvana inspection doesn't raise any serious alarms.

But the cynic in me has to wonder what's wrong with it if the previous owners dumped it after only 13k miles.

It's very weird, a little suspicious, that the first owner sold it after just 13k miles. And there's a second reported owner who has had it for the last 5 months and apparently put almost no mileage on it before selling it again (but that second owner could just be a dealership, which makes sense).

It's possible that the owner(s) just decided the payments were too much, or that they couldn't justify keeping it if they hardly ever used it, but something about a car with so few miles always raises a red flag for me. That being said, it's still under warranty.

It's also kind of weird that this Jeep went to Hamburg Germany and back for some reason last year.

But going back to the price, like I said, it doesn't seem like an especially great deal. It's an "okay" price, but probably nothing that anyone here is going to step on your feet to try to get.

Interesting. Thank you for your thoughts! The window sticker showed 63k with all of the add-ons, which is why I thought it seemed like a good deal. I do like all the add-ons, particularly the tow package.

I don't think I looked the Carfax close enough. I like your cynical thought process because I tend to think that way as well...now you have me wondering what's wrong with it! Thank you for bringing that to my attention.

In my recent searches, I've noticed a fair number of low-mile Rubicons out there. I wonder if the other side of the low miles concept is that those buyers have never owned a Jeep, and when they realize it's more of a rough ride for a daily driver, they trade it in. I think many people buy Jeeps because they look cool, not because they plan to use them.

If I am being honest, I feel a little silly for wanting a Rubicon now. I don't travel/tow, and go out west as much as I used to, but after driving my stock JKU all over the country and doing things that a stock Jeep has no business doing, I feel like if I am going to buy a new one, I need an upgrade — just in case! :)

It is the correct color for sure! Quick checks you could do are inspect the rims for rock rash and then crawl underneath to see how banged up is the undercarriage.

That Carfax is a little confusing. I'm pretty sure the Helena, MT, details are all related to Carvana. I've seen that location on all Carfax reports on their site. But yeah...Germany?

Used and abused with miles that low? My brain thought, less used.

13k miles and it looks like its had the snot kicked out of it. look at the paint...

no leather...

if its in your budget go for it but i think you can find a better jeep for that price..

I wish I could. It's through Carvana, which isn't ideal, but it's easier for me. The first thing I would do after receiving it would be to take it to the shop for inspection. There's a 7-day return period.

Good point. That's what I thought too at first, but I'm not sure if that is the lighting or not.

Well, I guess I am going to keep looking! I'll post any others I find on here too. These are all great points!

I was about to pull the trigger on this High Tide, until I saw the Rubicon. The High Tide has everything I need, aside from the tow package, and I am pretty sure the Sunrider is MIA, which is annoying.

While the High Tide has 35in tires, it does not have the 4.56 gears of the Xtreme package. The 4.56 gears are a really nice set with 35in tires.
